My Story
Lucas Bouk (he/him) is a singing actor who has built a career in the opera world. He has been featured in the The New York Times, Classical Singer, The New Yorker and recently performed leading roles in operas like Don Giovanni and As One. A proud transgender man, Lucas decided to begin his physical and vocal transition with testosterone during the COVID pandemic. Formerly a mezzo-soprano, his voice changed in March 2021 and he has been retraining as a baritone. In addition to opera, Lucas enjoys performing in cabarets and workshopping new works of all genres. He is excited to join the board of Ring of Keys, working to bring greater queer community and acceptance to performance spaces. Lucas lives in New York City.
